Digital data

As part of its activities and to ensure its smooth running, the Université de Haute-Alsace collects and processes personal data relating to students, staff and any other person with whom it has a relationship (partners, service providers, library readers, etc.).

The Université de Haute-Alsace is likely to collect your personal data when :

  • you browse the www.asimute.uha.fr/en/ website,
  • you fill in a form on our site,
  • or contact us, for example.

This data is used to respond to your requests, inform you of news from the Université de Haute-Alsace or process the forms you have filled in.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), adopted in 2016 and implemented since May 25, 2018 in every member country of the European Union, reinforces the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978 as amended.

The Université de Haute-Alsace has appointed a data protection delegate (DPD or DPO). He or she is responsible for assisting UHA staff and students in complying with regulations on the protection of personal data: processing and free circulation of such data.

Data collection

Staff and students of the Université de Haute-Alsace who collect personal data are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations from the outset of any personal data processing project. To do so, they must demonstrate compliance with French law and European regulations.

The Data Protection Officer is contacted by all these people, and together they draw up a declaration form to initiate the compliance process. These processes are recorded in the University’s data processing register, for which the President is responsible. The aim of this register is to list all data processing carried out in the context of administrative management, research and training.

The data collected is limited to what is strictly necessary and is processed exclusively for the purposes specified at the time of collection (in forms, online services, etc.). UHA guarantees the security, integrity and confidentiality of the data collected. It is kept only as long as is necessary for its processing, and is not transferred or transmitted to third parties, nor used for unauthorized purposes. The Université de Haute-Alsace does not sell any contact files.

The information collected (contact details, e-mail address) via forms and mailing lists (notably contact forms) on this site is only used to send specific information to which you have voluntarily subscribed. You may exercise your rights at any time.

Exercice de ses droits

You have the right to information, access, modification, rectification and deletion of data concerning you, as well as the right to limit processing, data portability, the right to object and the right to withdraw your consent for future processing.
